What is the maintenance interval for a G-type all-stainless steel screw pump?
2025-10-29 10:46:16

The maintenance interval for a G-Type All-Stainless Steel Screw Pump is not fixed but is determined based on a variety of factors, including the pump's operating conditions, fluid characteristics, operating environment, and the manufacturer's recommendations. The following is a recommended maintenance interval based on typical conditions:

1. Daily Maintenance

Daily Inspection: Before starting up each day, the screw pump should be briefly inspected, including checking the pump body temperature, abnormal operating noise, seal leakage, pressure gauge reading, and oil level indicator. These inspections help identify and address potential problems promptly, preventing them from escalating.

Weekly Maintenance: A more detailed maintenance should be performed weekly on the screw pump, including adding lubricating oil, cleaning the pump body, and inspecting the coupling rubber ring. These maintenance measures help maintain the pump in good operating condition and extend its service life.

2. Regular Maintenance

Monthly Maintenance: A comprehensive inspection and maintenance should be performed on the screw pump each month, including removing and cleaning the filter, measuring axial play, calibrating the flushing water flow rate, and inspecting the protective cover for deformation. These maintenance items help ensure stable pump performance and improve operational efficiency. Quarterly Maintenance: Screw pumps should undergo a more in-depth maintenance every quarter, including disassembly and inspection of the stator bushing, rotor clearance measurement, and safety valve calibration. These maintenance measures help promptly detect and repair worn and damaged pump parts, preventing malfunctions.

Annual Overhaul: Screw pumps should undergo an annual overhaul, including ultrasonic cleaning of metal parts, dynamic balancing, seal replacement, and spindle alignment. These overhauls help restore pump performance and ensure long-term stable operation.

3. Maintenance in Special Situations

Particle-Containing Media: If the media pumped by the screw pump contains particles, the flow path components should be inspected every 50 hours to prevent wear and damage caused by particles.

Long-Term Out-of-Service: If the screw pump is out of service for an extended period, the media should be drained and anti-rust oil should be added to prevent rust and corrosion. The pump should also be rotated regularly to prevent shaft bending.

High-Dust Environments: Screw pumps used in high-dust environments should have their air filters replaced regularly to prevent dust from entering the pump and causing damage. Before performing any maintenance, ensure that the screw pump has stopped and the power supply is disconnected to ensure safety. Use appropriate tools and materials during maintenance to avoid damage or contamination of the pump. After maintenance, test run the screw pump to ensure normal performance before putting it back into service.
